My attempt at a Duo pose from a manga, turned out pretty shitty though... It's Duo and Sailor Moon! It's the attack of the Duos! Here features me with another Duo, my Duo figure and a hand-made Duo plush! Kawaii!

Character: Duo Maxwell
Anime: Gundam Wing
Worn At: Aka Kon 2001
Status: Retired

Introduction:
This was my first costume I ever made, and the only one not made by me. I didn't know how to use my mom's sewing machine, and I had no self-confidence, so the sewing was done by my mom. I chose it because I had less than two months to make it and limited money. It totalled up to cost me $40 to make.

How it was Made:
- Hat/Braid: I purchused a black baseball hat from a thrift store and searched for a long, brown-haired wig, with no luck. So I stumbled upon a novelty hat with 2 long, brown braids attached to it. I got that, cut off the braids and looped one of them through the adjustment strap on the back of the hat. The result was a very comfortable Duo hat/braid.
- Shirt: I bought a cheap priest robe from a Halloween store and hemmed it to be like a shirt. Then, since the collar was all white, I used the black fabric I removed to fix the collar and have the white square in the front. I then wore a white shirt underneath and rolled up the sleeves. (Note: Unlike using a black turtle neck, cutting the neck and wearing a white turtle neck under, this is not too hot at all. Halloween costumes tend to be made of cheap fabric and so don't keep heat in very well. Wearing two turtle necks is suicide if you're going to be walking around a lot, so I don't recomend it.)

- Pants: I just put on a pair of black dress pants. I didn't feel like, nor have the time, to make the poofy pants.
- Boots: I just wore a pair a black boots I had. No biggie.

Hardest Task:
Getting my mom to sew it. XD I couldn't sew at the time, so I needed her to edit the priest costume I was using for the shirt. I told her how I needed it done and she did it. But talking her into it was a real pain.

Favorite Aspect:
I love how the braid was kept onto the hat. I originally looked for a long brown wig, but found nothing. I was worried about using the braid I had found but it ended up being the BEST choice I could've made! I LOVE it!

Flaws:
I hand sewed on the snaps on to the back of the shirt. It originally had a tie but the white shirt under it still showed so I altered it accordingly. The snaps were sewn on poorly and I always feel like I'm gonna rip one off them I use them.

Horror Stories:
NONE! YAY!
